In late 1999,
Hiphopindo.Com started as the first internet forum
with a purpose & mission to support the Indonesian Hip Hop scene
by creating a network to share knowledge
and information between its users across
Indonesia and other countries.
Not for very long, on August 17th 2000,
the forum evolved and become what is now known as
HIPHOPINDO.NET
The website was then officially re-launched as
an Independent Online Media,
intended solely for hip hop music,
its culture, and its movement in Indonesia.
What you’re about to see in this presentation
is a small documentation on how Indo hip hop scene and
communities has grown
and developed through the journey that it has taken over the years.
Hiphopindo.Net would like to dedicate this “Black Book”
as a tribute of respect to the pioneers, all the Hip Hop artiste, and
hopefully this “small history” may be passed along for the future
generation of Hip Hop in Indonesia.
